Have Dental Floss, Will Travel

Mapping the world, one waxy strand at a time…

Winter Wonderland

Fact: December 25 doesn’t really feel like Christmas from a hotel room in Montreal.

But aging tigers, cute kids, and Matt Damon make it a little bit more heart-warming.

Fact: By the time we finish our road trip, Brent and I will have collectively consumed two crates of clementines.

But we’ve also eaten our share of crusty breads, thick soups, creamy hot chocolates and cafe au laits, and bursting-at-the-seams french crepes.

Fact: It’s tough to get a picture when you’re blazing down a toboggan run on the banks of the St. Lawrence River.

But that doesn’t mean you can’t steal one from someone else (source).

Fact: Brent has been dodging my ice skating requests for the past six years.

But snowy nights in Quebec City and a free outdoor rink across the street from the hotel make it tough to pass up.

More to come when we’re back stateside!

As Lake Placid was as hot as the core of the sun yesterday, causing all the snow to flee, I am going to propose a day trip or two to Bill. Would you both say that Montreal is worth the 4-hour round-trip drive?

Ahhhm, Abby, that looks so great, the snow, the crepes. My stomach did a growl looking at all that chocolate 🙂

Wonderful Toboga. Only 1 time I did a toboga run: it was in China, down the Great Wall; I will not repeat the experience!
The pictures show us as a Christmas has to be: cold and snowy.
    Happy New Year.
