Have Dental Floss, Will Travel

Mapping the world, one waxy strand at a time…

Productive Procrastination

After five weeks and two days of traveling, we’ve finally made it back to Philadelphia!

And though I might not have done any real work on our trip, we certainly kept ourselves busy.

Over the course of that time, we:

-Visited 9 states and 2 countries,

-Drove 2547 miles,

-Hiked 130 miles,

-Biked 200 miles,

-Ran 123 miles,

-Swam 8 miles (okay, the running and the swimming, I did solo),

-Went to 10 movies,

-Took 216 pictures,

-Read a combined 19 books,

-Played one round of miniature golf,

-Saw one Shakespeare performance,

-Listened to 26 hours of live music, and

-Ate 267 hummus and vegetable sandwiches (another solo endeavor, and a bit of an exaggeration, but I’ll definitely be steering clear of this chickpea delight for a little while…)

It was a great trip, and I’m really excited to get back to real life. I’m feeling refreshed and rejuvenated and ready to tackle this dissertation (and maybe even this ironman).

And Brent had a good time, too šŸ™‚

So, mission accomplished!

Hey now! I did a 50 mile race! I ran 4 miles with you last week! And the first day out I ran about a half mile before giving up! And I swam to the swim float off the dock a few times too. And who was the one who walked all the way to the ATM to get money at the pizzeria when we didn’t have cash??? Yeah that was me…Jeez…
